A fabulous single large vintage brass Depose 11 stirrup. This one features a horse head on each side. Marked Depose 11 inside. Brass with some copper. 9" long X 4" wide. This one does show some wear inside and on the outside.
This was used as a ceremonial stirrup for Spanish riders. Peruvian, South American Conquistador style for serious riding. These would have been too heavy to use as a standard stirrup. The toe of the boot would fit into it.
Great for display, bookend or door stop.
